Meeting of Arctic & Antarctic Explorers
A few evenings ago, we had the opportunity to meet up with our friend, Lyne McFarlane, from New Zealand, and her partner Ray Logie.
Ray was an Antarctic explorer in the 1960’s. He was the deputy leader of the New Zealand expedition to Antarctica in 1962 and spent a few seasons there, documenting much of his experiences there with an 8mm camera, which has since been made into a documentary.
Ray shared amazing photos of the Greenland huskies he worked with and told us adventure stories of his life in Antarctica.
Ray met all our malamutes and Lyne was please to see her favorite friend, Nikko again. Nikko was glad to see his buddy, too. He just loves Lyne!
