Mysteries of the Arctic
This photo was taken by Joe several years ago in Alaska’s arctic at a place called Black Dog Creek. As legend would have it, the geologist who named the creek called it Black Dog Creek because they had seen a black wolf there.
An alternative explanation for why this creek is dubbed “Black Dog” lies in the cliffs adjacent to the creek. Look closely…can you see the black dog?
