Sweet Victory!
Yeeeeesss!!! If you read our previous post regarding House Bill 14, you know that today was the day of reckoning. Well, I couldn’t be more pleased to announce that HB 14 was passed in the Alaska State Senate, so the Alaskan Malamute is now Alaska’s official State Dog!!!
We hope to post some photos of the children, parents, and teachers from Polaris K-12 School in Anchorage who started this bill and saw it meet with success, but until then here’s what some of our dogs have to say about it:
Angel: “Hooowwwwl!”
Mitch: “Thank you, kids, for all your hard work.”
Nikko: “Awesome…we finally get recognition for our history in Alaska!”
