What:Alaskan Arctic Expeditions – Exploring ANWR by Dog Team

Details: Joe Henderson has been traveling in Arctic Alaska and ANWR with his team of 22 purebred Alaskan malamutes on unsupported, record breaking, multi-month solo expeditions for 28 years. Breaking trail in his old-school snowshoes ahead of the team, they haul several tons of gear and supplies for up to five months, enduring white-out blizzards and -100° F windchills, never seeing another human being for months on end. Joe will share exciting stories from his expeditions and show rare images and footage of wintery ANWR.
Price: Free admission. Donations for the upcoming 2012 Arctic Expedition appreciated.
