In February, the 2022 Alaskan Arctic dogsled expedition will be underway!
The expedition will lead us into a remote region of Alaska's Arctic where historically peoples of Arctic Alaska did not dare travel in winter. It's a region that I call Alaska's Badlands.
Similarly, to all our expeditions we hope to inspire!
Nowadays, with social media and covid-19 taking over our lives we want to get outside, challenge ourselves and explore God's amazing creation while we can. Every day as we age, our opportunity to go outside and be active slips away.
And like other expeditions, will last approximately 6-7 weeks without resupply which is unprecedented in modern Arctic exploration by dogteam.
Due to this region's brutally rugged landscape, there are not any historic documentation of dogsled travel in many parts of this region in winter. It will be a challenging expedition no doubt, but I know in my heart that the dogs are up for it and are amped to get going!!
